Shrek the Halls (2007)

Shrek the Halls is an animated made for TV film. Donkey (Eddie Murphy) is excited for Christmas and counting down the days from 159! Shrek (Mike Myers) on the other hand is his usual grouchy self. He doesn't like Christmas until he finds out that Fiona (Cameron Diaz) wants a traditional family Christmas.

Shrek sets out to make this happen but as it turns out he doesn't know anything about it! Of course, Donkey spoils Shrek's plans by inviting the entire family to the swamp.

In terms of quality, this is somewhere between Shrek 2 and Shrek 3, it's predictable but fun. The animation is just as good as in the feature films. Shrek's rendition of The Night Before Christmas is a highlight. [He changes the words.] While Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) gets the best line, “I have shamed myself.” At one point, character Dragon sends fire down the chimney and the Christmas cards are still hanging there on a thread! Good.
