Olaf's Frozen Adventure (2017)

Olaf's Frozen Adventure is a spin off from Frozen (2013.)

The residents of Arendelle are excited to experience their first Christmas since the gates reopened, none more so than Snowman Olaf (Josh Gad) who can't wait for the festivities to begin.

Sisters Anna (Kristen Bell) and Elsa (Idina Menzel) realise they have no family holiday traditions of their own, so Olaf and reindeer Sven decide to look for ones that can be borrowed or adapted.

The animation is superb (just as good as in the feature films) and the story is engaging with memorable songs. The best of which is 'When We're Together,' which is extremely catchy. Olaf sings a clever song called 'That Time of Year' which celebrates Christmas, while also showing the absurdities of it. [Cutting down a tree and dressing its corpse!]

The snowy hill chase is great fun with awe-inspiring animation. Johnathan Groff returns as ice seller Kristoff, who sings an entertaining but (purposely) barmy song.
