Apple's clever Christmas musical comedy shows the team behind the haunting's of the various Scrooges of the world.
Will Ferrell's Ebenezer Scrooge is the current Ghost of Christmas Present who works for Jacob Marley (Patrick Page.) Present has been eligible for "retirement" for decades but refuses to do so, despite being tempted by the promise of settling down. When he realises Octavia Spencers' Kimberly (an Executive Vice President) can see him in the real world, he thinks this might finally be his chance.
Meanwhile, Ryan Reynold's Clint Briggs (a controversial media consultant) is the ghost's next target. The problem is Clint is happy as he is and he doesn't want to change. Genius idea!
Spirited is entertaining with good performances, sing-along songs and well choreographed dances but it's also slightly overlong. Sunita Mani excels as Bonnie, the Ghost of Christmas Past who fancies Clint. Good Afternoon.
