Dune: Part Two (2024)

Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) unites with Chani (Zendaya) and the Freman while plotting revenge against those who destroyed his family. Together with the Freman, he wages war against House Harkonnen, headed by the vicious Baron, Vladimir Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgård.)

Part Two's complex mythology will either bore or enthrall, but there's no denying there's spectacle on screen, alongside stunning cinematography.

Atreides journey happens a little too fast to be believable despite that long running time.

The cast is impressive (including newcomers: Austin Butler, Léa Seydoux and Florence Pugh) but the slow ponderous pace might put you off, with only the occasional epic battle to liven things up. [Alongside those impressive sand worms.]

The baddies stories are slight (compared to part one) with minimal character development, while their endings feel rushed, which is a real shame. See: both Dave Bautista and Stellan Skarsgard's characters.

Rebecca Ferguson returns as Lady Jessica, with Javier Bardem as Stilgar, both actors are fine.

It's good but Part One was better.
