It may take you a while to get used to the style of animation, but TNBC is a movie that greatly benefits from repeat viewings, if only to really appreciate the fantastic songs. From the sublime, 'Halloween Town' to the catchy, 'What's this?'
Jack returns and can't wait to tell his friends about his new experience, including love interest, Sally (Catherine O'Hara, a rag doll / Frankenstein's monster-like creation who can remove her own body parts.) The characters are frightfully good throughout and superbly voiced.
It's a clever idea having two markets covered, Christmas and Halloween! This is suitably Gothic and Oh So Burton! Excellent.
