Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) has been Santa Claus for almost ten-years now. If he doesn't find a Mrs. Claus within the next 28 days his dream job will come to an end.
At the Northpole Santa interacts with the Elves, plays football and checks the Naughty and Nice list. His son is on the Naughty list! (Eric Lloyd as Charlie.)
Santa is experiencing a de-Santafication process, which gradually turns him back into Scott Calvin. Allen also portrays Bad Santa, a toy clone of himself. The Elves would never believe this is the real Santa though, would they? But at least they acknowledge it through Bernard's speech. Speaking of Bernard, David Krumholtz was the best thing about the first movie, so it's nice to see his part increased here.
Elizabeth Mitchell plays cynical teacher Carol before she got Lost. [ABC's TV hit Lost.] She's very good, making the most of the predictable romantic, will they, won't they plot. Good festive fun.
