Martin Short gives the proceedings a massive lift here as Jack Frost (who steals every scene he's in.) The bad puns actually work. Lucy: “OK, chill!” Frost: “I invented chill!” And, “who does your hair?” Frost: “I freeze dry it!” Take note Batman and Robin (1997), this is how it should be done.
Mrs. Claus (Elizabeth Mitchell) is pregnant and feeling lonely at the North Pole, without her family and friends. Meanwhile, Jack Frost is trying to become Santa, by going back in time to the moment that Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) put the red suit on, and beating him to it. How Frost gets Santa to wish on the magical globe is contrived but the alternative world (that follows) is a blast, sadly it doesn't last long enough.
Jack Frost opens the North Pole to the public to rake in the cash, why isn't anyone shivering? Everyone is acting like it's the middle of summer! Michael Dorn excels as the Sandman. A fitting end to a good trilogy.
