Mrs. Miracle (2009)

This romantic festive comedy introduces us to the impossibly nice, Seth Webster (James Van Der Beek, TV's Dawson's Creek) and his two six-year-old unruly twin boys. Enter the housekeeper Mrs. Miracle to whip them into shape. In-between, she finds time to bring Seth and local travel agent, Reba Maxwell (Erin Karpluk, TV's Being Erica) together, so they can fall in love. Aw!

Doris Roberts (Christmas Vacation, 1989) portrays a busy-body (Mrs. Miracle) who's always sticking her nose where it doesn't belong, but in a nice mothering way, and all for the greater good. Is she an angel, there to give fate a helping hand? It's certainly suggested.

Good actors Der Beek and Karpluk make this seem better than it actually is, the characters are charming, believable people (with realistic baggage) but it is highly predictable. Contrivances can be explained by Mrs. Miracle's meddling which is clever. Enjoyable fluff.
